The UK FinTech Awards categories are designed to encourage submissions from every kind of fintech, while also offering a wide range of individual and team awards, with a view to enabling the very best of financial technology and innovation to be scrutinised, recognised and rewarded.

    • Tell us about the product or service you are putting forward: how does its aims, capabilities, marketing and delivery meet customer needs and requirements?
    • What is the potential of your product/service? How it can achieve critical mass?
    • What are its unique selling points and what differentiates it from the competition?
    • Are there any inventive or innovative aspects that have been developed to bring the product or service to market?
  • Banking Tech of the Year
    • Tell us about the product or service you are putting forward: how does its aims, capabilities, marketing and delivery meet customer needs and requirements?
    • What is the potential of your product/service? How it can achieve critical mass?
    • What are its unique selling points and what differentiates it from the competition?

  • Best Open Banking Initiative
    Open to any financial services provider, fintech firm, or regulated third-party operating in the UK that has launched or significantly enhanced an initiative using open banking technologies.

     

    • What was the purpose of your open banking initiative, and what specific need or problem did it aim to address?
    • Describe how the initiative uses open banking data, APIs, or infrastructure to deliver value — for example, improved financial insights, faster onboarding, better credit decisions, or enhanced customer experiences.
    • Who were the target users (consumers, SMEs, partners), and how did the solution improve outcomes for them?
    • How did you ensure compliance with FCA regulations, data protection laws, and open banking security protocols?
    • What results have been achieved so far? Provide evidence of customer adoption, measurable impact, or commercial growth.

  • Crypto Award

    Open to all organisations involved in cryptocurrencies, CBDCs and stablecoins.

  • Data Initiative of the Year
    • Tell us about your data initiative: what were your aims and requirements?
    • How has your initiative improved delivery of the service or product being offered?
    • Where and how were there improvements in outcomes for customers/users?
    • Was your initiative conducted ethically, with privacy and data protection at its heart?
    • What recognition has the initiative received from third parties?
  • Digital Assets Award

    Open to all organisations involved in the creation, distribution or management of digital assets; involved in web3, including but not limited to, blockchain technology, DeFi, NFTs, metaverse and other distributed ledger technologies.
