There are few barriers to entering the UK FinTech Awards
This easy-to-follow guide outlines everything you need to know about entering the UK FinTech Awards—in 2023 and beyond.
By following these steps, you’ll give yourself the best possible chance of being shortlisted and winning an award at the ceremony in April next year.
The submission process itself is a rewarding activity, as it provides an opportunity to reflect on your strengths and areas for improvement.
To find out more about the benefits of entering, take a look at this blog post.
Registration and categories
Firstly, you need to register. Once you have registered and paid the £350 registration fee, you’ll gain access to the entry form and can enter as many categories as you wish.
The categories are wide ranging to recognise and reward the best financial technology and innovation from every kind of fintech.
We recognise products and services, such as the best tech in accounting, payments and pensions, among many others.
There are also awards for initiatives, such as blockchain technology, a team of the year award and rising star of the year.
By following the criteria carefully and recognising where your strengths lie, you’ll give yourself the best opportunity to win.
The criteria are in Q&A format. Follow this closely and provide all the information to provide the judges with a clear submission.
Submission
The judges are looking for memorable submissions, so make sure every submission you make is unique for the category that you’re entering.
Written submissions can be between 250 and 1,000 words per category. As with all writing, submissions will be much improved after several drafts.
Getting input from all your team will help to provide clarity and spot any mistakes.
Clear, concise writing, free from unnecessary jargon will provide a clearer picture for the judges.
Alternatively, you can enter a video submission. You have three minutes to show why you, your team or business should win an award.
Like the written entry, videos should follow the guidelines and provide a clear picture of why you should win.
Submit
Submissions can only be accepted via the entry form, which you can access after registering.
A form must be filled out and submitted for every category you’re targeting.
If you’re putting an organisation forward for an award, mark the fields under the Nominee heading with an ‘N/A’ except for the Company name field.
Make sure you choose the correct category from the list as this reveals the correct criteria and fields in which to paste your submission.
For video submissions, upload the file to a third-party site such as YouTube, fill out the form (except the criteria fields) and paste the link to your video into one of the criteria fields.
