19 Feb Finalists revealed for UK FinTech Awards 2020
Finalists GoCardless, LendingCrowd, Onfido, Starling Bank and Tide are competing to be named FinTech of the Year at the inaugural UK FinTech Awards.
They are joined by dozens of other established and emerging fintechs to be named as finalists for the 2020 awards, taking place on 2 April in London.
The independent judging panel, which was chaired by FinTech Scotland chief executive Stephen Ingledew, met earlier in February to judge hundreds of entries and assemble the finalists for each category.
As well as the hotly contested FinTech of the Year, other notable categories include the Payments Tech Award, with Banking Circle, Curve, Previse, Shieldpay and SumUp competing for the prize, and the WealthTech Award, which Digital Wealth Solutions, Flagstone, tickr, Wealth Dynamix and Wealthify are in with a chance of winning.
Winners of all 20 categories will be announced exclusively at the UK FinTech Awards dinner and ceremony on 2 April at Leonardo Royal London St Paul’s. The evening is a black-tie event that includes a welcome reception, three-course meal and the awards ceremony.
